ES-0347 Environmental Monitoring Science & Tech Lead

Responsible for Science and Technology Planning for terrestrial weather and space environment mission areas with 10 years experience in technology development. Requires Master’s degree in meteorology and space physics with practical applications. Coordinates and consults with a broad community of researchers at national labs, industry, and academia for applicable technologies and manages and maintains roadmaps for sensors, models, applications, and decision aids. Manages personnel executing technology applications verifying and validating their compliance with user-defined thresholds, standing up of virtual community effects demonstration and display platform to reach users for evaluation globally. Coordinates forums and working groups for defining requirements, entry and exist criteria, and execution and evaluation of technology.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related field.  

  • 10+ years of engineering experience working on a Gov’t or commercial space program

Wage/Salary: This is a full time position, wages commensurate with experience

Security Clearance Level:  Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance

Relocation Expense: Not included
