efficient resource management for teams of all sizes

Unlock the power of a cutting-edge, integrated database and revolutionize the coordination of test asset utilization across vast, multi-contractor enterprises. The iRIS® Resource Coordination Module (RCM) harnesses a pioneering Digital Engineering (DE) platform, meticulously engineered to provide decision makers with timely, precise, and cost-effective information to bolster resource coordination and streamline fielding decisions across an entire enterprise.

How it Works: With a centralized, single database approach, the RCM puts all resource usage information at your fingertips, from inventory management to scheduling and de-confliction, giving you complete visibility and transparency. Employing a cutting-edge Inventory Management Module (IMM) and a state-of-the-art Scheduling Module (SM), the RCM enables resource managers to enter inventory data from a multitude of sources, including test plans, procedures, and configuration diagrams, using desktop computers and a secure internet connection. The IMM organizes this data into labs/facilities, personnel, hardware, and software assets, assigning a unique identification number for each item in inventory and providing detailed information on status, including lab/facility certification records and hardware calibration records.

The SM empowers users to reserve (schedule) assets required for their respective activities from the IMM, assigning start and end dates for each asset reservation. If an asset reservation conflicts with another activity, the associated data is flagged red, and stakeholders receive an automated alert. In the event of schedule conflicts or resource unavailability, the IMM provides the ability to request additional resources, and each data transaction is meticulously maintained in a change history. Experience the ultimate in resource management capabilities with the RCM.

Resource Use Metrics and Reports: The RCM dashboards and reports provide a comprehensive, enterprise-level overview of resource reservations for quick and easy issue identification:

For over a decade, the iRIS® RCM has been used by both commercial and Government organizations to facilitate resource coordination and planning, including some of the largest programs in the U.S. Space Force.  One example is the Global Positioning System (GPS) which is a constellation of orbiting satellites that provides position, navigation, and timing data to military and civilian users globally. The system is operated and controlled by Space Delta 8, located at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado and is comprised of several on-going ACAT-1 government RDT&E programs that require resource sharing and coordination across the enterprise, including the operational ground station assets used for “Live Sky” developmental testing.  Today, the iRIS® RCM coordinates the use of literally hundreds of assets across numerous simultaneous RDT&E events for GPS and has played a significant role in mitigating resource utilization cost and schedule risk.
